The most valuable things we have in this life are time and relationships with others. When I look back at my life I will judge it by how much I was able to help people in some form or fashion. In other words, I will ask myself "Did I make the world a better place?"
When we entered this world each one of us was given a gift, a talent, an ability bestowed upon us by our creator. Our purpose in life is to find out what this gift is and use it to make a positive impact on others.
As we all know, fulfilling our life's purpose, is much easier said than done. Some of us won't even figure out what our gift is until late in the game, or in my case, until something catastrophic happens to us or to someone we love that flips life as we know it upside down.
Some people have a gift that involves helping others through business and selling things. This is where it can get really tricky...
Similar to plugging a guitar into an amplifier to make the sound that comes out of it louder, money amplifies what is already inside you. When good people get more money they do more good for the world. They do more things to help more people.
The larger the amount of money a person gets, the larger the temptation to use it's power for selfish reasons grows.
If you remember one thing from reading this article let it be this, "People matter infinitely more than money!" Never forget that, regardless of how much you have in your bank account.
"Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show." - unknown
