Writing about people, places, things, and events that inspire me in hopes that they will also inspire you is the goal of this entire blog!

Louis Fort is a seventeen year old, self-taught photography entrepreneur from Birmingham, Alabama.  Before Louis responded to our Facebook post seeking photographers we didn't know Louis, and for the most part, he knew little about FTF.  He just has a passion for photography and was looking for an opportunity to share that passion with a larger audience.

On Young Entrepreneurship...

It's extremely rare to find your life's passion at a young age.  But from experience I can tell you that the sooner you can identify that passion, start practicing it, and develop a vision for your career path using it, the higher the likelihood of you actually making your dreams happen.

With age comes the chains of responsibilities to hold us back from taking big risks.  I'm not saying you can't be successful being an older entrepreneur.  Colonel Sanders was in his 60s when he started Kentucky Fried Chicken.  What I am saying is that the less responsibilities you have the less stressful risk taking becomes!

Like every good, young entrepreneur Louis took a chance and decided to participate in our photography program.  Thus we weren't shocked when we asked Louis what advice he would give to other entrepreneurs, and he said "Do not over think things.  Just take a risk and go after any idea or goal you have with all of your energy and do not stop until you reach that goal or that idea becomes reality."

According to Louis, "Photography has allowed him to see the world from a different point of view and helped him realize the true beauty in the world around us."

Little did he know the positive impact a kid with a camera in Alabama could have on the world by helping our organization grow!

"Life is like a camera.  Focus on what's important.  Capture the good times.  Develop from the negatives.  And if things don't work out, take another shot!" -unknown
