Survivor Story: Liam Hollowell

My name is Sarah Hollowell.  My husband and I are currently at the hospital (October 2016) with our 7 month old who was recently diagnosed with AT/RT, a very rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

He underwent a complete resection on September 20th, 2016 to remove the tumor, and now is undergoing very aggressive chemotherapy and bone marrow harvesting.  After he is 1 year of age he will undergo radiation therapy as well.

Up until this morning (October 2016) my husband was our only income.  He has had to take off work during the last month to be at the hospital and be at home to take care of our other children.  (We have 7 altogether, 5 still living at home)

He went into work this morning and his boss let him go due to the fact that he has had to take off so much and can't guarantee that he can be there every single day considering what we have going on.  So now we do not have any income coming in until my husband is able to receive unemployment.

We have to keep driving back and forth to St. Louis Children's hospital from our home in Nashville, IL quite often for treatments.  This will be an ongoing process for at least a year.

We would be grateful to receive any financial assistance as we are already overwhelmed by what we are battling with our sweet baby boy on top of losing our only income now.

Thanks so much, and God Bless!
