Meet Lisa Tiepelman. She is a 51 year old mother of 3, grandmother of 7, sister to 9 siblings and a wife. She is originally from Mount Olive where she lived until about 7 years ago.
Lisa had been in a lot of pain for the past 6 months or so and thought that it was part of menopause that was just running its course. But finally she couldn't take the pain anymore and her husband told her she had to go see her doctor (she's very stubborn)!
From there her doctor sent her on to an OBGYN because they noticed some abnormalities. On May 5th, 2016 Lisa was diagnosed with stage two B cervical cancer. She had to stop working because she was in too much pain and will continue to stay home until after her chemo and radiation.
Lisa started her treatment on July 27th with radiation five days a week and chemo once a week for seven weeks. She is still in a lot of pain due to the tumor. Her doctor did tell her after about the third week of treatment her pain will hopefully ease up due to the shrinking of the tumor from radiation.
She hasn't been working for awhile now, and her husband recently had to get a new job because the tire shop Lisa and her husband both worked at has shut down. She did not have any form of insurance until about a month after she was diagnosed so money is tight and the medical bills alone are piling up.
I decided to reach out and look for help for them to hopefully ease some of their worries.
Thank you all in advance from the bottom of my heart!
More than 50% of the proceeds from all Fight the Fight purchases made between July 16th, 2016 and July 31st, 2016 will be donated to Lisa to help cover medical expenses.
