My name is Stacey Keck. In November of 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage 2B Cervical Cancer. The 7cm tumor was too big for surgery so the doctors at Siteman Cancer Center determined that I would do Chemo, external radiation, and internal radiation simultaneously.
This meant daily trips to St. Louis for the next 8 weeks. It also meant I would not be able to work. There were so many complications and multiple inpatient stays.
I was out of work for 6 long months. I had fought hard and in May it looked like the cancer was gone.
By summer I was working on getting strength back and feeling pretty good. Unfortunately by Fall I was experiencing some familiar symptoms and in November a PET scan revealed that the cancer has returned and has metastasized to the lymph nodes.
My new treatment plan is 6 cycles of chemo 3 weeks apart. I am due for my second round Dec. 27th. I am Fighting the Fight again and could sure use some help!
As you can imagine the cost of the treatment is great.
Thank you in advance to everyone who supports me by purchasing a Fight the Fight shirt!
More than 50% of the proceeds from all Fight the Fight purchases made during the month of April 2019 will be donated to Stacey to help cover the costs of medical-related expenses.
